Obituary:

James W. Hibbs, 74, of Momence,IL died on Monday (July 19) at Momence Meadows Nursing Home, in Momence, IL. He was bon on June 20, 1936, in Momence, IL, the son of Woodrow and Esther S. Jensen Hibbs. He married Mary Lea Gagnon on July 30, 1966 in Amboy, IL. She preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 1984.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Karen and Kelly Henson of Momence, IL; two sisters and one brother-in-law; Marleen and Alan Turrell of Momence, IL, Joyce Hibbs of Momence, IL; one brother and sister-in-law; Terry and Janet Hibbs of Wichita, KS and one grandson Austin Henson of Momence, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter (Sharon Coehn).

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Momence, IL and the NRA. He had been a pharmacist. He also enjoyed fishing and watching the Chicago Bears.

Memorials:

Memorials may be made to his grandson's education.

Visitation:

There will be no visitation. Cremation rites were accorded.

Service:

Graveside services will be held on Friday (July 23) at 10 AM at the Momence Cemetery in Momence, IL.
